My name is Jessica Salmans and I am an artist and crafter.
I recently moved home to Jackson County, Oklahoma. Two things we have a lot of in Oklahoma: mosquitos and cotton! I've been interested in learning how to handspin fiber for a while now (I'm a crocheter from way back and have recently learned to knit). I know it will be a challenge, but I feel I'm up to it!
My goal is to use only materials available in Jackson County or SW Oklahoma, including making all of my dyes from plants and organic materials here, too.
This blog is meant to document the WHOLE process, blunders and all.
